Actual results: mysqld leaks memory


Expected results: mysqld does not leak memory


Additional info: Upstream fix is currently merged to their 5.5 branch, but not yet released. I have confirmed that applying the upstream fix to 5.5.50-1.el7_2 fixes the problem.

Upstream released 5.5.52 today, which includes the fix: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/mariadb-5552-changelog/

Thanks for the report, we should get this bug fixed as soon as RHEL 7 will include mariadb-5.5.52, which should be soon due to CVE fixes, since we rebase to latest upstream release for those security issues.

mariadb-5.5.52 is now available on RHEL-7, so this bug should be gone. Can you confirm, neil, please?
