Still happens with gedit-3.28.1-1.el7.x86_64 did a quick search. seems like the fix is upstream here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtksourceview/commit/06a9d3751c808870dc72e470700693d01f4fc284 Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
