Description of problem:
When trying to access an encrypted drive the "Enter a passphrase to unlock the volume" popup window will not paste a password copied from another app (LibreOffice) into the password field.  Note that the past option is visible and selectable when right clicking in the password field.  However, when paste is selected the content of the clipboard is not entered.  This is only an issue with Wayland.  No problem pasting to the same field in X.

100% reproducible


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot into Wayland
2. Type password of an encrypted drive into a text editor
3. Mount encrypted drive
3. Copy password from text editor and paste into password field of pop-up window to unlock encrypted drive

Actual results:
Password does not paste into password field.  Note that no characters are shown in the password field.  Clicking unlock results in an "Unable to Unlock" dialog.


Expected results:
Upon paste, a dot is shown in the password field for each character pasted.  After clicking "Unlock" volume unlocks. 


Additional info:
This may be related to Bug 1330334 which prevents pasting a password in the password field of the NetworkManager in Wayland.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 24. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora  'version'
of '24'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged  change the 'version' to a later Fedora

lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fedora 24 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-08-08. Fedora 24 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
