Description Fred van Zwieten 2016-09-05 06:42:52 UTC
Document URL:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/6.2/single/installation-guide

Section Number and Name:
2.11 Synchronizing Time
2.12 Installing the SOS Package on the Host Operating System

Describe the issue:
Both sections describe how to install packages. However, it greatly depends on the installation method if there are any repositories connected at this point in time.

Suggestions for improvement:
Move 2.11 and 2.12 between 3.1.3 (https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/6.2/single/installation-guide) and 3.1.4 (Installing the Satellite Server Packages)

Additional information:

Comment 1 Fred van Zwieten 2016-09-05 06:50:02 UTC
Even better would be between 3.3 (Performing the Initial Configuration) and 3.3.1 (Performing the Initial Configuration Manually), because then the repo's are set up in both online and offline use-case.

Assigning to Julie for review.

Hello Fred

"Synchronizing Time" now appears in these two places:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/6.2/paged/installation-guide/chapter-3-installing-satellite-server#synchronizing_time

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/6.2/paged/installation-guide/chapter-4-installing-capsule-server#synchronizing_time_2

Thank you
