Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Evolution error with mailing list email.

Description of problem:
Evolution is not handling messages with links that use the mail:// url format typical in mailing list emails. When clicking on one of the links in the email you get an error stating: Could not open link and instead it should take you to the particular section of the email message. A screenshot of the issue is attached. This works fine on newer version of Fedora but not in RHEL.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-3.12.11-15.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open email with links that use mail:// url format
2.Click one of the links
3.

Thanks for a bug report. This specific error comes from the gvfs, where the URL had been passed to. Would it be possible to attach here an example message for testing, please?

Comment 3 Kurt Bechstein 2016-09-06 16:18:41 UTC
I can definitely do that. What format do you want? Just the html of the message or it looks like I can save the message as an mbox file as well.

Comment 4 Milan Crha 2016-09-07 10:01:59 UTC
The mbox file is better. Simply right-click the message in the message list, pick "Save as mbox" and then choose a file to save to. Edit the file and "censor" anything private from it before attaching it here. Thanks in advance.

Email message with mail:// urls.

There is nothing sensitive in this email so no worries there.

Comment 6 Milan Crha 2016-09-08 09:42:54 UTC
Thanks for the test message. They use references like
   <a href="#a5">
which means "jump to the section named 'a5' in this document. The "mail://" is an evolution custom protocol, which surprised me to be part of the message itself. The Fedora version
