Description Eric Jones 2016-09-12 14:34:40 UTC
- What is the nature and description of the request?
As an user I require the ability to see the dashboard for my fellow user.

- Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
To create a single dashboard for several users to check, so a team that all do the same thing can check one place and see the same output.

- For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.
Login as one user and generate a dashboard, then login as a different user and access the first user's dashboard

- Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?
Could not find anything

As an update to this request, we recently made changes which allow operations users to share a common Kibana index. This means Elasticsearch can be enabled for 'shared ops' mode and that any user who is able to satisfy the SAR 'get pod logs across all namespaces' will use the same index. This may satisfy some of your usecases but not non-ops users who will still have their own kibana index.

Thank you Jeff. Are these changes already in an existing OCP version or upstream origin at the moment?

This will be part of this PR https://github.com/openshift/origin-aggregated-logging/pull/571 which i thought was merged earlier. There is additionally this issue https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1463436 which keeps you from exporting visualizations but there is a pending fix for it which will be also merged shortly.

This bug has been identified as a dated (created more than 3 months ago) bug.
This bug has been triaged (has a trello card linked to it), or reviewed by Engineering/PM and has been put into the product backlog,
however this bug has not been slated for a currently planned release (3.9, 3.10 or 3.11), which cover our releases for the rest of the calendar year.

As a result of this bugs age, state on the current roadmap and PM Score (being below 70), this bug is being Closed - Differed,
as it is currently not part of the products immediate priorities.
