I want to add to this: It happens quite often to me that a backup is running, but that I do not see a progress dialog. I see no button or any other way in how to display the progress dialog again. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1327719 *** |
Description of problem: deja-dup gui: one has to deselect then reselect the Overview option in order to be offered the "Backup Now" option. The details option in the progress dialog will only display two or three lines, is not resizeable, and does not follow resizing the entire dialog The progress dialog does not wait to be dismissed at the end, causing any messages about problems (like failure to backup a particular file) to not be seen Desktop is: gnome-desktop3-3.20.2-1.fc24.x86_64 laptop is Thinkpad X240 (Intel graphics) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): deja-dup-34.2-2.fc24.x86_64 How reproducible: it's just the way it works now. Steps to Reproduce: 1.start deja-dup by selecting Backups from Activities on Gnome desktop 2.observe on the overview dialog that there is no "Backup Now" option 3.select anoter option, e.g. "Folders to save" 4.re-select "Overview" and observe that "Back Up Now..." is offerred 5.Select "Back Up Now" to start a backup 6.While the backup is running select the "Details" option and observe that the details window will only display approximately 2-1/2 lines and that resizing the window has no effect in this regard. 7.When the backup is complete observe that the dialog window is dismissed. On F23 it remained with informative messages if applicable. In my case there is always one file that does not get backed up and that information is provided here Actual results: Backup completes, apparently as expected. This is a cosmetic problem Expected results: The way it worked before the upgrade from F23->F24 Additional info: none of these situations was present in F22 or F23
