Description Shinobu KINJO 2016-09-13 00:51:30 UTC
Description of problem:

In case of using cinder backup-create, controller nodes need to access to external iscsi storage device.

To enable controller nodes to access to storage device, it's required to have identical iscsi initiatorname in /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi

For overcloud compute nodes, fixed version was already released.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1244328

But for overcloud controller nodes, there is no plan to fix this issue. Previously I opened the following bugzilla which was closed.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1361935

But it's not expected for controller nodes specifically.

I opened this bugzilla.

Thanks for your report, please update bug 1315320 with your concerns about controllers, as it seems like people are only fixing the compute nodes.
