Description Jason Morin 2004-10-30 18:28:49 UTC
Description of problem: I get an unhandled exception error when I try
to install Fedora Core 2 during the disk partitioning phase, and the
install completely halts. I do not get this error at all when
installing Fedora Core One so I will just continue to use it until
Core 3 is released

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora
Core 2

How reproducible: every single time I have tried to install Fedora
Core 2 over the last 3 weeks it halts. It will not install on my
system, but Fedora Core One will.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use partition magic to set aside 10GBs on my second hard drive.
2. Boot from Fedora CD, click English, etc., Workstation, ...
3. When asked to partition the disk, both Automatic and Manual (Disk
Druid) fail. I choose "Leave partitions alone and use remaining free
space" which works fine with Core 1. That part of the disk is
already partitioned to EXT3

Actual results: After hitting a button, the graphical user interface
goes away, the screen turns black and gives information about
an "unhandled exception error" and I get the message that
the "install will not continue. Press any key to reboot."

Expected results: I expect to have Anaconda install Fedora Core 2 all
the way (obviously...)

Additional info: Not really. I just wanted you to be aware of this.

This should be fixed for FC3
