Description john.mcgavin 2016-09-17 03:15:25 UTC
Is code sourcery the best option for arm-none-eabi? They don't seem to provide codebench lite for arm freely anymore and their website is extremely evasive.

Perhaps https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded would be better? It seems to be directly supported by ARM, has support for newer architectures (v8 etc). It's also the toolchain of choice for http://gnuarmeclipse.github.io/ .

We've used Code Sourcery = GNU + their patches. It was slightly ahead of vanilla GNU. After licensing changes, we no longer use it and use vanilla GNU tools. The page you reference is no upstream, they take sources from developer.arm.com and they use vanilla GNU sources. So we use the same sources already.
