Description Joachim Frieben 2016-09-17 07:37:18 UTC
Description of problem:
Fedora 25 currently features the outdated metacity version 3.12.0 when the current upstream version is actually 3.20.3.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
metacity-3.12.0-4.fc24

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check current version of component metacity.

Actual results:
Current version is 3.12.0.

Expected results:
Current version is 3.20.3.

Additional info:
Although metacity is not used much as a window manager these days, it is used by anaconda and can then cause monitor issues as the one reported in bug 1188774. An upgrade is therefore useful for any Fedora user, in particular for those performing a network install.

metacity-3.12.0 is totally broken when using HIDPI, metacity-3.22.1 fixes the scaling issues

Comment 2 Fedora Admin XMLRPC Client 2017-06-09 02:10:52 UTC
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.

Comment 3 Yaakov Selkowitz 2017-06-09 05:57:01 UTC
metacity 3.25.1 is now in rawhide. Unfortunately, it's probably way too late to rebase metacity for F26.
