Description Joachim Frieben 2016-09-18 15:13:45 UTC
Description of problem:
After disconnecting a wired connection using the panel action "Wired Connected > Turn Off", the wired connection is effectively disabled and the wired icon disappears. However, the subsequent panel action "Wired Off > Connect" has no effect, thus, the wired symbol does not reappear in the panel, and the wired connection stays disabled.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-shell-3.21.92-1.fc25

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Disconnect a wired connection shown in gnome-shell's top panel.
2. Choose panel action "Wired Off > Connect".

Actual results:
None

Expected results:
Wired connection is enabled and the wired icon is shown in gnome-shell's top panel.

Additional info:
The wired connection can actually be enabled by launching gnome-control-center and setting the status of "Network > Wired" to "ON"; the wired icon then reappears in gnome-shell's top panel.

Issue was actually caused by component Networkmanager and is fixed by upgrading from NetworkManager-1.4.0-4.fc25 to NetworkManager-1.4.2-1.fc25.
