error dialog with high cpu usage

Description of problem:
During any dialog displayed (error dialog, download progress dialog) the CPU usage goes somewhere between 60-150% CPU and the window below the dialog is flickering. It seems like the window below gets refreshed 60 times per second or something.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mediawriter-3.96.0-0.fc25.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. either see cpu usage during download, or introduce a network error (e.g. disconnect form the network) and see cpu usage when error dialog is displayed

Comment 1 Kamil Páral 2016-09-20 12:49:52 UTC
The same high CPU usage is there during "Finished!" dialog.

flicker under dialogs

In this video you can see flicker under the dialog, and also higher CPU usage (a bit, in fact, the longer you keep the dialog opened, the higher the CPU usage goes).

The flicker is considerably worse in reality, since I recorded the video in 15 fps and so not all flicker is visible in the video.

Comment 3 Martin Bříza 2016-09-20 13:03:50 UTC
This won't be easy to fix this behavior, I'll probably have to remove some animations because there's a bug in Qt under Linux/Xorg causing QML apps to eat CPU when there are animations...

I had some issue too which is using %150-%200 of CPU usage*

Comment 5 Martin Bříza 2016-09-22 12:29:09 UTC
Fixed upstream.
