Description Christian Schwede (cschwede) 2016-09-20 13:58:54 UTC
Description of problem:

Installing OSP7 packages on a new & clean RHEL7 env fails due to some missing packages on the CDN. So far these are missing:

 python-babel-1.3-6.el7ost.noarch
 python-simplejson-3.5.3-1.el7ost.x86_64
 python-testtools-1.1.0-1.el7ost.noarch

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install clean OSP7
2. Enable required repos:

 subscription-manager register --username="username" --password="password"
 subscription-manager attach --pool=8a85f... (employee SKU)
 subscription-manager repos --disable=* --enable=rhel-7-server-rpms --enable=rhel-7-server-openstack-7.0-rpms --enable=rhel-7-server-rh-common-rpms

3. Ensure yum is clean:

 rm -Rf /var/cache/yum/*
 yum clean all

4. Update system:

 yum update -y

5. Try to install an OSP pkg:

 yum install -y python-swiftclient

Actual results:

Error downloading packages:
python-babel-1.3-6.el7ost.noarch: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
python-simplejson-3.5.3-1.el7ost.x86_64: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
python-testtools-1.1.0-1.el7ost.noarch: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

Expected results:

Successful installation.

Additional info:

Comment 3 Lon Hohberger 2016-09-20 15:51:33 UTC
Looks like a repo syncing issue on CDN.

Comment 4 Christian Schwede (cschwede) 2016-09-21 08:26:13 UTC
Checked again this morning, tested RHEL6+OSP5 and RHEL7+OSP7 - no more 404s from different networks, issue seems to be fixed - repos are in sync again.

Closing this issue therefore.
