User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0
Build Identifier:

When searching using "Tools > Find Messages (S)" no messages can be found. The result list will remain empty and the window will state "0 matches".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use Tools > Find Messages
2.Choose a folder, and something to search
3.Click 'Search'
Actual Results:
0 matches

Expected Results:
A list of mails that contain the words being searched

I received the suggestion that duplicate messages could cause this behaviour, but there were none.
Bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353671 might be related, but the workaround (erasing the Search folder and restarting Kmail) does not work.

Same problem here. I've never actually seen the Kmail email search module working.

I'm not sure how to provide more further information. I followed the same steps, no match whatever is the search I do. I don't have any "Search folder".

it's fixed in kmail-16.12.2-1.fc24
