Description of problem:

Screen get split in two, 80/20 relation, and mirrored after kernel upgrade to version 4.7.3-100. If I use the previous kernel 4.6.7-200 all is just fine.

Computer model is a Sony Vario VGN-CR320D

How reproducible:

I assume it is hardware dependent, so it would require a Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update to kernel 4.7.3-100
2. Reboot system
3. Visible after grub boot up (plymouth is also affected)

Actual results:

Screen split horizontal

Expected results:

Screen complete.

no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.
