With this update, it is possible to change the maximum number shards per bucket. This is especially useful when bucket sharding was not configured correctly.

The resharding command parameter should be --num-shards. There is no '--max-shards' parameter. $ radosgw-admin bucket reshard --bucket=<bucket name> --num-shards=<new shards number> Verified on ceph-0.94.9-7 Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
