We received this feedback (Revision 7.0-24):

Following the little documentation available on how to establish [one-way] trust, I encountered enough inconsistencies that I decided to stop and ask questions.

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/Windows_Integration_Guide/trust-requirements.html#verify-dns-configuration

Step 1 requires the setting and confirmation of a working DNS set of records, all SRV type in the same zone the IPA server's record resides. This step alone is rather inconsistent in how it's described, mainly by what records are expected.

[...]

Then I read about a TXT record that is also required or expected and nowhere in the previous instructions I'm guided to create such record.

[...]

In essence, due to this documentation inconsistency I cannot progress with the establishing of the AD trust.
