Description J. Bruce Fields 2016-10-02 02:10:25 UTC
Start vmpk, select Edit->MIDI Setup. Change the "MIDI Output Driver" to anything other than Fluidsynth (the default). The application hangs. Any further attempt to use it will pop up a dialog saying "MIDI Setup is not responding".

I cannot reproduce this issue. Is there any other program that producing sound, like Amarok?

Comment 2 J. Bruce Fields 2016-11-09 02:45:20 UTC
I had jack and probably some synth (maybe amsynth) running.

I attempted to reproduce just now and couldn't. I don't know what changed.

I'm seeing some random freezes (stuttering, then cpu fan spins up and I have to force quit it) while trying to use it to play pianoteq; but a few minutes later I'm not able to reproduce that either.

Best is probably to close for now?
