Description Audrey Yeena Toskin 2016-10-02 02:21:20 UTC
Hello, hguemar

This is a fairly minor problem, but the package metadata for goocanvas2 and goocanvas2-devel are out-of-date. They currently list the project's URL as

  https://live.gnome.org/GooCanvas

but GNOME no longer uses the "live" subdomain; requests now get redirected to the wiki. I believe the new URL should be

  https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GooCanvas

Since you are also listed as the point of contact for other packages, I'll also say that libepc, libepc-devel, and libepc-ui have the same problem.

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/libepc/
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/libepc

Same goes for pessulus.

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/Pessulus
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Attic/Pessulus

...You'll notice that that last URL is in the "Attic" section of the wiki, for old and deprecated projects. If you plan to continue packaging it, you could maybe link to its git repo instead.

  https://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/pessulus/tree/README

(I'm filing this same bug report for multiple packages, so I apologize if you see this issue twice.)

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2017-02-28 10:23:16 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 26 development cycle.
Changing version to '26'.

Comment 2 Audrey Yeena Toskin 2018-02-23 22:28:14 UTC
Oh, you updated some of the packages, but the rest still use the old live.gnome.org domain, which is dead.

* goocanvas2
* goocanvas2-devel
* libepc
* libepc-devel
* libepc-ui

Comment 3 Jan Kurik 2018-08-14 10:22:06 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle.
Changing version to '29'.

Comment 4 Ben Cotton 2019-10-31 20:51:42 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 29 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 29 on 2019-11-26.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '29'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 29 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 5 Audrey Yeena Toskin 2019-11-01 04:03:42 UTC
Package URLs still haven't been updated.

Comment 6 Ben Cotton 2020-02-11 15:46:33 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle.
Changing version to 32.

Comment 8 Ben Cotton 2021-05-25 14:56:46 UTC
Fedora 32 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2021-05-25. Fedora 32 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
