Description Audrey Yeena Toskin 2016-10-02 02:31:34 UTC
Hello, mclasen

This is a fairly minor problem, but the package metadata for dconf and dconf-devel are out-of-date. They currently list the project's URL as

  https://live.gnome.org/dconf

but GNOME no longer uses the "live" subdomain; requests now get redirected to the wiki. I believe the new URL should be

  https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/dconf

Since you are also listed as the point of contact for other packages, I'll also say that there are others with the same problem:

gnome-desktop-testing

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/Initiatives/GnomeGoals/InstalledTests
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Initiatives/GnomeGoals/InstalledTests would be the equivalent page *or* link to the git repo instead? https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-desktop-testing/

gucharmap, gucharmap-devel, gucharmap-libs

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/Apps/Gucharmap
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Gucharmap

iagno

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/Iagno
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Iagno

libgnome-keyring, libgnome-keyring-devel

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeKeyring

mousetweaks

Old URL:
  https://live.gnome.org/Mousetweaks/Home
New URL:
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Mousetweaks

(I'm filing this same bug report for multiple packages, so I apologize if you see this issue twice.)

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2017-02-28 10:23:27 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 26 development cycle.
Changing version to '26'.

Comment 2 Audrey Yeena Toskin 2018-02-23 22:15:45 UTC
Oh, you updated some of the packages, but there are a few which still use the old live.gnome.org domain, which is dead.

* dconf
* dconf-devel
* gnome-desktop-testing
* libgnome-keyring
* libgnome-keyring-devel
* mousetweaks

Comment 3 Jan Kurik 2018-08-14 10:21:56 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle.
Changing version to '29'.

Comment 4 Ben Cotton 2019-10-31 20:51:44 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 29 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 29 on 2019-11-26.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '29'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 29 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 5 Audrey Yeena Toskin 2019-11-01 04:07:46 UTC
You did update a couple more, but a few packages still use the old live.gnome.org subdomain.

* gnome-desktop-testing
* libgnome-keyring
* libgnome-keyring-devel
* mousetweaks

Comment 6 Ben Cotton 2020-02-11 15:46:28 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle.
Changing version to 32.

Comment 7 David King 2021-02-17 11:53:32 UTC
Fixed for dconf in commit 89b7d6187b04490c7172705b3ae55e4bf9c6f301. If any packages from comment #5 are still in need of an update to the URL, bugs should be filed against those packages.
