Description Alex 2016-10-04 13:52:46 UTC
Description of problem:

this is a new ticket for: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1154200 which was closed because EOL but this bug is still present.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora24 with latest updates

How reproducible:
Hi,

I am using fedora24 and this error is still happening. Only "fixed" by adding
"send dhcp-client-identifier = hardware;" to /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf

Steps to Reproduce:
1. in my company, on the dhcp server they reserved a specific ip for my host and when connecting using automatic ip instead of sending the mac address sends a looong string.

This only happens to me (fedora24). When I reboot the machine and boot with win10 I get the proper IP.
