1. Proposed title of this feature request => Support for Kubernetes API extensions


3. What is the nature and description of the request? =>
Customer would like to extend the OpenShift API with addtional API objects, like it is foreseen through the Kubernetes extension mechanism

4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) =>
Customer would like to add additional controllers, which converge to a target state described through additional API extension objects.
Use cases:
- customer deploys request for egress router through extension object, our platform extension would provision it
- customer requests certificates , platform would provision it into Secret from internal PKI

5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) =>
Support for a Kubernetes extension mechanism on the oc command line, and optionally gui.


7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? =>
No idea

Two questions:

Most of this seems like a request for third party resources:

And a little bit of a request for oc observe:

https://github.com/openshift/origin/pull/4196


Which allows you to build third party controller type integrations.



We don't have third party resources enabled yet because of functional and security issues.  But is there anymore remaining to this request other than that?

This bug has been identified as a dated (created more than 3 months ago) bug. 
This bug has been triaged (has a trello card linked to it), or reviewed by Engineering/PM and has been put into the product backlog, 
however this bug has not been slated for a currently planned release (3.9, 3.10 or 3.11), which cover our releases for the rest of the calendar year. 

As a result of this bugs age, state on the current roadmap and PM Score (being below 70), this bug is being Closed - Differed, 
as it is currently not part of the products immediate priorities.
