Describe the issue: 

 when i follow  above guide  and I run du -h --summarize /var/lib/pulp as part of the inital step, my server crashes, I was thinking a less destructive command could be df -h

 root     pts/2    dhcp-0-233.bne.r 09:44    5:10  15.59s 15.54s du -h --summarize /var/lib/pulp
 you can see the process has taken 5 minutes so far
It crashes because the load steadily increases.

I believe its hitting the limits of the amount of files that the kernel can process with an ls or du

Yes when testing with df -h, I don't encounter the issue.

Hi Lucie, 

So in brief, du -h --summarize /var/lib/pulp was causing server crashes. This has been changed to df -h /var/lib/pulp. I did just check the command and df -h does not work with --summarize.
