Created attachment 1208331 [details]
part of dmesg's output

Description of problem:
I'm opening this one, in order to report a bug found by the user "franesp", from the Italian community "it.fedoracommunity.org".

The user wrote that he is unable to shutdown his Fedora 24 system cleanly, unless he disables the kernel module related to his wi-fi.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-4.7.5-200.fc24.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot Fedora
2.Try to shutdown Fedora

Actual results:
Fedora gets stuck

Expected results:
Fedora should shutdown cleanly without requiring manual intervention.

Additional info:

- laptop Dell XPS 13 (9350) 2016

- wi-fi card:
3a:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4350 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 08)

- wi-fi module:
brcmfmac

- I'm also attaching part of the output of dmesg

Comment 1 Pablo MeniƱo 2016-10-19 14:01:10 UTC
I have the same problem.

Fedora 24
Kernel: 4.7.7-200.fc24

Laptop Dell XPS 13 (9350) 2016
Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4350 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 08)

To get rid of the error line:
brcmfmac 0000:3a:00.0: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt failed with error -2

I make a copy of the file brcmfmac4350-pcie.bin to brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt
sudo cp /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.bin /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt

When I shutdown Fedora, takes like 5 minutes to shutdown properly.
If I disable the WiFi module, no problems or delays on shutdown.

Same problem on last Kernel 4.7.7-200.fc24

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 24 kernel bugs.

Fedora 25 has now been rebased to 4.10.9-100.fc24. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 26, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 26.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.
