Description Lars Kellogg-Stedman 2016-10-10 15:02:37 UTC
Description of problem:

qemu-system-x86-2.6.2-1.fc24.x86_64 provides /usr/share/qemu/efi-virtio.rom, which is a symlink to /usr/share/ipxe.efi/1af41000.rom. That file is provided by ipxe-roms-qemu-20150821-3.git4e03af8.fc24.noarch, but is missing in 20160127-1.git6366fa7a.el7.noarch.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

20160127-1.git6366fa7a.el7.noarch

How reproducible:

Upgrade to ipxe-roms-qemu 20160127-1.git6366fa7a.el7.noarch. then attempt to boot a libvirt guest:

error: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2016-10-10T14:04:16.291406Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device virtio-net-pci,netdev=hostnet0,id=net0,mac=52:54:00:c2:98:9d,bus=pci.0,addr=0x3: failed to find romfile "efi-virtio.rom"

I apologize, but this may be a red herring. Looking at https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/ipxe, it seems that 20150821-3.git4e03af8 is the most recent package in F24. I'm not sure where that ipxe-roms-qemu-20160127-1.git6366fa7a came from.
