The only patch I see there is an added printk(), am I missing something? Patches should be sent to http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/spice-devel with git send-email (or git format-patch). Yes correct. OK I'll send patches in the future there, Since I didn't write it myself it will be difficult to replicate the formatting used by git format-patch (unless I can post it as is). I just realized this patch was to enable enhanced debug output and that the problem lies in the kernel not qxl. Unfortunately kernel devs are not easily approachable for bug reports by an outsider. Bug reports in the QXL KMS driver are definitely welcome, especially if there is a buffer overflow somewhere. This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '25'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.
