More or less ignorable messages for now.

Feel free to set 'global/notify_dbus=0' if you are not planning to use it for now. dBus support is for now rather 'experimental'.

Comment 2 Peter Rajnoha 2016-11-21 08:36:41 UTC
You need to install lvm2-dbusd package - lvm2 package doesn't have a dependency on this (and we dont' want to). So if global/notify_dbus=1 is set (which is by default) and at the same time lvm2-dbusd package is not installed (which contains that dbus service), we get the warning.

We decreased the severity of the message from "warning" to "debug" only in this case with these patches:

https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/lvm2.git/commit/?id=68d6d342f83f00784b53dda254d66875e134808d

https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/lvm2.git/commit/?id=cd0736a94554750e0077f390770212c68da8fa4e

They're now included in lvm2-2.02.161-5.fc25 (https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-0b0d170e02) which has been pushed to stable recently (2016-11-19) . Please, update to this latest version.

(lvm2 dbus service is optional, not compulsory - if you don't intend to make use of this interface, you don't need to install the lvm2-dbusd package of course.)
