as it turns out this can be set in rhn.conf https://www.redhat.com/archives/spacewalk-list/2011-May/msg00147.html As noted in #c1, this is controlled by site-configuration. Closing as notabug |
Created attachment 1210201 [details] Screenshot of inspected HTML Description of problem: The maximum length for a password in the Login page is 32 characters . When using PAM Backend , to LDAP or any other, it is possible to have a password longer than that , mine is 42 , that makes it impossible to authenticate. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Spacewalk 2.5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable PAM for LDAP Authentication 2. Have a password longer than 32 chars 3. Try to login Actual results: Login Fail Expected results: Login Succed Additional info: Screenshot of inspected HTML attached , live changing the maximum length to 50 makes the login work as expected
