Description Onuralp SEZER 2016-10-17 20:16:01 UTC
Description of problem:

When we edit vm XML file via "virsh edit" we can add "host-passthrough" on the list or type ourselves in the virt-manager and accept It's okey. But in virt-manager that option not exist. We have to type manually.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
virt-manager-1.4.0-3.fc24.noarch

Comment 1 Cole Robinson 2016-10-17 20:57:51 UTC
Thanks for the report, but that's intentional. host-passthrough, even though it provides important capabilities, is still a 'not recommended' libvirt config and marks a VM as tained which has support implications for some distros. so we don't expose it explicitly in the UI, but it can still be entered manually like you say, so we don't block users.

We could change this in the future if libvirt's recommendations change, but until then we won't be showing it in the UI
