Latest upstream release: 5.01
Current version/release in rawhide: 2.03-1.fc25
URL: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Search-Elasticsearch/

Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy

More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring

Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream.

Comment 1 Paul Howarth 2016-10-20 13:22:52 UTC
There is a significant change of API in this version, breaking MetaCPAN::Client:
https://github.com/metacpan/metacpan-client/issues/48

I expect there will be other breakage too.

For now I've added a conflict against perl-Search-Elasticsearch >= 5.00 in perl-MetaCPAN-Client.

Comment 2 Emmanuel Seyman 2016-10-23 10:41:15 UTC
I'll hold off on updating perl-Search-Elasticsearch for the time being.

Comment 3 Emmanuel Seyman 2016-12-25 17:54:18 UTC
Given that MetaCPAN-Client is moving away from S::ES, I've updated the package in Rawhide:
