I figure we could package it the same way for RHEL too. dnf --installroot=somewhere install systemd -> 335M (reported by du. size reported by yum -> 285M) after removing locale and yum cache -> 235M size of unpacked rhel base image -> about 200M size of gzipped rhel base image -> about 70M /etc/udev + /usr/lib/udev -> 12M After evaluating this issue, there are no plans to address it further or fix it in an upcoming release. Therefore, it is being closed. If plans change such that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming release, then the bug can be reopened. |
