Description of problem:

I want to rename a page in zim by selecting the page in the left pane,by the right mouse button but that's impossible because the menu item remains inactive (greyed out) .

Do you have write access to the $NOTEBOOK/.zim directory?
Can you write to page content?
Can you start zim on the command line with 'zim --standalone -D' and paste the output here?

I saw that  View -> Notebook Editable was not active. Activating this toggle botton was the solution. (I don't know why it was de-activated).

Sorry for the noise.
