There should be an info box displayed when checking the checkbox that allows selecting all hosts, not just those on the current page. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1282558 and specifically the video in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1282558#c10 for how this works. Closing as NOTABUG. Note - it is possible that due to JS issues in snap 5 this box was not displayed, if on latest snap it is still missing, or if clicking on "select all matching hosts" in the box still doesn't lead to all hosts being selected, please reopen this bug with more information. |
Created attachment 1213430 [details] screenshot_1 Description of problem: When attempting to delete (or anyhow change) a large number of hosts in web ui, the maximum amount of hosts I can change at once is limited by the number of hosts listed per page, regardless of the query result. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Satellite 6.3 snap 5 Steps to Reproduce: 1. With a large number of hosts, create a selection on hosts page with results spanning over several pages, see screenshot_1 2. Click the checkbox in table header to select all hosts -- the Select Action drop-down appears. Select action, e.g. Delete Hosts 3. A confirmation window appears, but only hosts on the given page are selected (see screenshot_2) Expected results: The check box in the table header should select all entries, not only those on the currently viewed page. This would make bulk actions in UI much more efficient with a large number of hosts.
