Is that a regression?

Comment 2 Nelly Credi 2016-11-03 14:36:28 UTC
its not a regression

Comment 3 Fabian Deutsch 2016-11-15 09:47:22 UTC
What is the reason for needing glance on RHVH?

I am not aware of a component requiring it.

In principal there are two questions to answer:

1. What/why is glance required?
2. Should it be required by a component or node?

Comment 4 Nelly Credi 2016-11-17 09:35:49 UTC
we wanted it, so we will be able to export to Glance (as it is not supported in the engine)
but now I see we dont have it in the old rhevh as well
so I think we can close this

Comment 5 Fabian Deutsch 2016-11-17 09:58:13 UTC
What did you want to export to glance and why? I'd like to understand the story - maybe there is a good reason for it.

Comment 6 Nelly Credi 2016-11-17 11:57:03 UTC
well this RFE was only partially implemented

from our side we wanted it because we need it to update the guest. our flow:
import an image from glance, update repos - guest agent, rhel etc, seal it and export to glance
the export is not supported in the engine ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1046018 ) so we must do it via the client
