Description John Dodson 2016-10-28 22:03:42 UTC
Description of problem:

dnf-automatic-1.1.10-1.fc24.noarch appears to overwrite /usr/lib/systemd/system/dnf-automatic.timer even though it's a "config" file.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dnf-automatic-1.1.10-1.fc24.noarch

How reproducible:
Last update overwrote my version of the file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. update
2.
3.

Actual results:

/usr/lib/systemd/system/dnf-automatic.timer

Expected results:

/usr/lib/systemd/system/dnf-automatic.timer.rpmnew
should be created.

Additional info:
Perhaps /usr/lib/systemd/system/dnf-automatic.timer should be "labelled as a config file.

Maybe I should also say that it would be nice to have a comment in the
/usr/lib/systemd/system/dnf-automatic.timer file that says...

# If you want this to happen late at night & not be related to the last boot,
# This entry might suit you...
# OnCalendar=*-*-* 01:00:00

Comment 2 Igor Gnatenko 2016-10-29 06:22:14 UTC
You should use systemd override in /etc/systemd/...
