Created attachment 1215239 [details] dmesg output of loop (drm.debug=255) Description of problem: Sometimes, after it had worked fine for hours, my Intel Skylake graphics starts to loop between HDMI connect and disconnect events. (Of course the TV actually stays connected, although switched off.) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-4.7.9-200.fc24.x86_64 kernel-4.7.3-200.fc24.x86_64 How reproducible: Starts randomly with TV on HDMI connector turned off, without a "real" hotplug event. HDMI stays connected all the time. Actual results: The connection state loops between connected and disconnected. Expected results: Stays quiet at state connected. Additional info: Forcing the output to connected using video=HDMI-A-1:D and a saved EDID block drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/leo-samsung.bin doesn't disable the hotplug events.
