Description Steve Hill 2004-11-12 15:00:11 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020
Firefox/0.10.1

Description of problem:
The FireFox library path is /usr/lib/firefox-0.10.1 - i.e. it contains
the version number which will presumably mean that any plugins
installed in /usr/lib/firefox-0.10.1/plugins will need to be
reinstalled after every RPM upgrade of firefox.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.10.1-1.0PR1.20

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install firefox RPM
2.
3.

Actual Results: Libs in /usr/lib/firefox-0.10.1

Expected Results: Libs in /usr/lib/firefox

NOTABUG. This is intended.

Comment 2 Christopher Aillon 2004-11-13 08:01:48 UTC
Use /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins for your plugins.

As warren noted, this is intended because the libraries are not
compatible between versions and their library names don't change.
