Any reason not to update to this in rawhide? I've got an update ready to go.

The only problem I foresee is that Python might not build in rawhide afterwards. I suggest installing pip 9 in mock and then trying to build Python.

I'll be able to get to this only some time next week though.

Test repo - https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/python/newpip/

looks okay at the moment, but tests are failing due to ssl at the moment. when that is fixed we'll know more.

Comment 13 Charalampos Stratakis 2016-11-21 11:57:20 UTC
Tested with the current builds of python and python3 and ensurepip works fine.

Comment 14 Upstream Release Monitoring 2016-11-21 16:10:32 UTC
orion's python-pip-9.0.1-1.fc26 completed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=819296

Comment 15 Orion Poplawski 2016-11-21 16:11:33 UTC
Okay, let's let it bake in rawhide then. Thanks.
