I've had a similar problem. During the installation of FC3, the line alias orinoco_cs eth1 was put in /etc/modprobe.conf Removing this line solved the problem. I reloaded from scratch, and upgraded to the recently available -678 kernel. Problem gone. Don't know whether it was the kernel or the fresh install. An update has been released for Fedora Core 3 (kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3) which may contain a fix for your problem. Please update to this new kernel, and report whether or not it fixes your problem. If you have updated to Fedora Core 4 since this bug was opened, and the problem still occurs with the latest updates for that release, please change the version field of this bug to 'fc4'. Thank you. Sorry, new notebook with built in wireless. Don't have the WPC-11 any longer. I can't test it. When I went to FC4t2 on that notebook the problem did Not reoccur. |
