Description of problem:

dnf install smplayer --setopt=install_weak_deps=1

only install smplayer 

when: 
rpm -q --recommends smplayer  
mplayer
smtube



Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dnf-1.1.10-1.fc23.noarch
dnf-1.1.10-3.fc25.noarch


Actual results:
doesn't install weak_deps

Expected results:
install weak_deps as request or as default.

Additional info:

dnf repoquery --recommends smplayer  --available 
(empty result)

when dnf repoquery --recommends smplayer (when smplayer is installed )
mplayer
smtube

mplayer/whatever should be re-pushed to repositories.

Hi , could you be more verbose ? , it is a problem of "our" repository ? createrepo on rhel7 doesn't support weak dependencies ?

createrepo supports weakdeps when yum supports weak deps (RHEL7 doesn't support it). You can use createrepo_c.
