Description Daniel 2016-11-04 11:03:09 UTC
Description of problem:
Daemons on the network aren’t discovered automatically. Add the below to port entry to the service definition in "/usr/lib/firewalld/services/icecream.xml":

    <port protocol="udp" port="8765"/>

By adding this, Icecream schedulers can discover daemons running on the local network automatically.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.0.98-3.fc24

Work-around (for future Googlers):
firewall-cmd --permanent --service=icecream --add-port=8765/udp

Comment 1 Daniel 2016-11-04 11:09:26 UTC
Based on findings in email lists, bug trackers, and forums I think it’s fair to claim that this is expected to work out of the box.

Comment 2 Daniel 2016-11-09 01:50:11 UTC
This was due to another issue upstream.
