Section Number and Name:

Describe the issue: 
"Disable the gluster-nfs, kernel-nfs, and smbd services."
It would be great to find out how one would do this or how one would check if this is already done.

After discussing about this BZ, Bhavana & myself decided that since enabling nfs-ganesha internally disables gluster-nfs and we do not support multi-protocol, we have decided to modify the pre-requisite to just disable kernel-nfs server. The commands to disable it are -

on RHEL-7 
systemctl stop nfs-server

on RHEL-6
service nfs stop

To verify ,
on RHEL-7 
systemctl status nfs-server

on RHEL-6
service nfs status

The service should be in stopped state.

Hi Bhavana,

As suggested in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1394849#c9, could you please include below line in the same section 

on RHEL-7 
systemctl stop nfs-server
systemctl disable nfs-server

on RHEL-6
service nfs stop
service nfs disable

To verify ,
on RHEL-7 
systemctl status nfs-server

on RHEL-6
service nfs status

The service should be in stopped state.

The commands to stop and verify if kernel-nfs is not running is verified.
