Why is the network tab in the developer tools for the browser not sufficient to capture the information when you are troubleshooting? At least for the download YAML option you are requesting. As far as downloading logs we don't have a good way to implement this in the browser today. Our only option currently risks blowing up the memory in the browser in order to download the entire log content before then creating a simulated download. Moving this to RFE for the download log request. We have a PR for downloading pod and deployment logs from the web console: https://github.com/openshift/origin-web-console/pull/1040 However, we currently have a limit of 5000 lines or 10 MiB of log content. If the log is longer, you would need to use the CLI to get the full log. (We'll show a dialog with the CLI command when the log is incomplete.) With the introduction of OpenShift 4, Red Hat has delivered or roadmapped a substantial number of features based on feedback by our customers. Many of the enhancements encompass specific RFEs which have been requested, or deliver a comparable solution to a customer problem, rendering an RFE redundant. This bz (RFE) has been identified as a feature request not yet planned or scheduled for an OpenShift release and is being closed. If this feature is still an active request that needs to be tracked, Red Hat Support can assist in filing a request in the new JIRA RFE system, as well as provide you with updates as the RFE progress within our planning processes. Please open a new support case: https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/#/case/new Opening a New Support Case: https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/#/case/new As the new Jira RFE system is not yet public, Red Hat Support can help answer your questions about your RFEs via the same support case system. |
