engine log
Just tested that oVirt 4.0.5.5, seems to work fine can you please double check? I double checked before reporting this bug on 2 different env..i will show you. This bug report has Keywords: Regression or TestBlocker. Since no regressions or test blockers are allowed between releases, it is also being identified as a blocker for this release. Please resolve ASAP. Tal, why is this on storage and not on virt? Good question, now it's on Virt ;) From the screenshot I see that in subtab the "Template" is "Clone/Independent". It means the VM has been created as clone provisioned from the template, meaning it have lost the attachment to the original template. For this reason the template in the dialog is "Blank". The template name in subtab is just for "informative reasons" from which template the VM has been cloned. Long story short, this works as designed and it is not a bug. |
Created attachment 1218475 [details] screenshot Description of problem: [UI] - The template name isn't correct in the edit VM dialog. 'Blank' template is shown for VMs in the edit VM dialog, although they are based on other templates. - In the 'General' sub tab the correct template name is shown Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.0.5.5-0.1.el7ev How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create VM based on template. After VM is created, Go to the edit VM dialog and check what is the 'Template' name Actual results: The name of the template is 'Blank' template always. Expected results: The template name should be correct. Like on the 'General' sub tab
