Description of problem:
ext_auth ipa user group retrieval failed with no error message even after UI spinner takes long time.

5.7.0.10-beta3.20161109111947_9a61b18

How reproducible:
always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure cfme for external_auth in the webui
2. configure IPA server for external_auth using appliance_console.
3. login as admin to cfme.
4. In configuration-> groups-> add group, check "(Look up External Authentication Groups)". specify the IPA user, click Retrieve. 

Observe that UI spinner takes long time. wait for spinner to disappear. Even after the spinner disappears see that no user groups are retrieved, no Error message displayed.


Actual results:
ext_auth ipa user group retrieval failed with no error message even after UI spinner takes long time.

Expected results:
ext_ipa groups retrieval expected to fetch the groups associated to the user.

Additional Info:
Issue was not observed in 5.7.0.9. Also the group retrieval for MIQ ldap works fine.
