Can you upgrade to XFree86 4.0.3-1 and see if his problem goes away for you? A lot of improvements have happened in XFree86 since you've reported this bug and it is likely to have been fixed now. To get a copy of the latest: ftp://people.redhat.com/mharris Grab Mesa 3.4-13 also. Does this work for you? The XFree86-4.0.3-7 build contains Alpha fixups directly from Compaq for the Permedia driver as well as many other drivers. These fixes reportedly fix the problem you are experiencing, and many others as well. You can obtain the XFree86-4.0.3-7 release from: ftp://people.redhat.com/mharris Please upgrade to this version and reopen the bug report in the unlikely event that the problem persists. |
