Description of problem:

Using an USB disk fedora installation: booting and then suspending fedora on a laptop, then booting and doing poweroff on another machine, and finally resuming on the mentioned laptop is destroying the fedora installation.

Linux  4.8.6-201.fc24.x86_64 #1 SMP  x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

How reproducible:

Install fedora on an USB disk, boot and then suspend it from a laptop by closing the laptop, disconnect the usb disk and boot from it on another machine. After doing poweroff, connect the disk again to the laptop and resume by opening the laptop. The installation is destroyed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install fedora on an USB disk
2. Boot and then suspend it from a laptop (by closing the laptop).
3. disconnect the usb disk from the laptop and boot from it on another machine.
4. poweroff
5. connect the disk again to the laptop and resume by opening the laptop.

Actual results:

The fedora installation is destroyed.

Expected results:

Fedora resumes the suspended session.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale.  Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 24 kernel bugs.

Fedora 25 has now been rebased to 4.10.9-100.fc24.  Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 26, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 26.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.
