Description Andrea Perotti 2016-11-13 09:34:58 UTC
Description of problem:
Following the instructions on:

https://access.redhat.com/insights/getting-started/rhv/

you cannot have the package insights-coordinator-rhev correctly installed on RHV4 environment due to missing dependency that cannot be satisfied.

The package require:

rhevm-sdk-python

that is the sdk package for RHEV3, but on RHV4 the new package is named:

python-ovirt-engine-sdk4

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
insights-coordinator-rhev.noarch 0:1.0.28-1.el7

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable copr repo
2. yum install insights-coordinator-rhev

Actual results:
3. Error: Package: insights-coordinator-rhev-1.0.28-1.el7.centos.noarch (insights-insights-coordinator-rhev)
            Require: rhevm-sdk-python

Expected results:
3. To have installed on a RHV4 env the package: python-ovirt-engine-sdk4

Additional info:

This offer a very negative experience for end users and risk to make insights perceived as a beta tool rather than a production ready one.
