Description of problem:
When I try to create a snapshot of running VM warning 'Could not detect Guest Agent on the VM...' appears even when the agent is running on the VM. Engine can read IP and hostname for the VM.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ovirt-engine-4.1.0-0.0.master.20161115231325.gitd073048.el7.centos.noarch
on VM rhevm-guest-agent-common-1.0.12-3.el7ev.noarch

How reproducible: always


Steps to Reproduce:
1. create VM, install 7.3 RHEL, ovirt-guest-agent and start it
2. try to create snapshot

Actual results: IP and hostname is shown by the VM, but warning 'Could not detect Guest Agent on the VM...' in the snapshot dialog is shown


Expected results: no warning is shown

If you check the "Applications" subtab of the "Vms" maintab for that particular VM, does it contain the guest agent? How is it reported exactly there?

sorry for asking one by one, could you please also check the content of vdc_options for the name: "AgentAppName"? Should be available using engine-config

I see, in table vdc_options is 'ovirt-guest-agent'. So it's my mistake. I combine ovirt engine with rhevm guest agent. I installed ovirt guest agent and no warning is shown.
